Team of the Week = U16’s

Following a week of heavy rain, we still managed to facilitate our LFA League Fixtures at our home facility in Claremont, Cape Town.

We welcomed Houtbay United Football Club, in an action packed day of football. This week our U16’s claim the “Team of Week” award, as they played to a 4-4 draw. With taking the lead to 3-1 in the second half, we allowed Houtbay back into the game, who then made it 3-3. We responded immediately by scoring a superb 4th goal to make it 4-3. In the dying minutes of the gae, HBUFC stepped up their intensity and managed to clench the equaliser and a hard-fought point.

Although we didn’t claim all three points, our boys showcased superb determination, represented the academy in a professional manner and played really progressive, front-foot football, which is what we aspire all our teams to achieve on match-days.
