Fiery affair sees Zestlife narrowly edge past Ballers in high scoring affair

Monday Night Football under the lights in Claremont saw Season 3 Premier League Champions take on the newcomers. What was predicted to be a one-sided David vs Goliath matchup, turned out to be an intense, feisty affair that is a contender for game of the season. Ballers started the sharper of the two teams surprising Zestlife with an early goal. The first half ebbed and flowed and both teams tried to get a grip on the match. Midway through the first half, Aleen was shown a yellow card for repeated, deliberate handballs. This decision did not sit well with Zestlife and they upped the tempo, even though they were a man down. The half ended, 5-2 to Zestlife.

The second half was just as entertaining as the first. Ballers started the second half in the same manner as the first half. Quick, slick play say them bring the score back to 5-4. Temba and Khuta running the game from midfield. But Zestlife aren’t the champions for nothing, and seemed to be able to step up into second gear with ease. Scoring goals everytime Ballers came close to finding that equalising goal. With just over five minutes left, Ballers scored two quick-fired goals, to bring the score to 9-7. You could smell the tension on both sides. But, as Ballers pushed for the equaliser, Nick showed great experience and finesse to score an absolute screamer for Zestlife. Final score, 10-7 as Zestlife look to defend their title.
